Parent Advocacy
At times, parents can become overwhelmed while managing educational issues on behalf of their children; and sometimes, an advocate can help serve as an intermediary. Because PROJECT: LIFE counselors work so closely with most area high schools, they can help you foster stronger collaborations of your own, too. In addition to helping the traditional student prepare for college, PROJECT: LIFE counselors have expressed experience working with Talented and Gifted Youth, students with special needs, the learning disabled, as well as those at high risk. Frequently these students need help identifying ways in which to demonstrate their own measures of success on their own terms. It is about helping them find pathways to engage and feel good about themselves.
